This week we will be featuring a two part workout series with New Balance athlete, Maggie Vessey. Vessey is known to be an athlete that is in a low mileage program while producing times at 800 meters that ranked #2 in the world in 2009 (1:57). These two workout you will see take place on the same day, one morning session in the gym and the second session out on the track. This gym session you see cardio, strength, core....a lot of supplement work in terms of a runner. The mix of work in the gym and the low mileage program has been a great success for Vessey who has experience repeat injuries and stress fractures in past years when implementing more mileage.
